As the end of Term approaches, teachers have been busy preparing initial progress reports for students. Students in Prep – Year 6 classes will receive their progress report next Friday. Students in Kinder will have a progress report sent home next Wednesday. These reports give an indication of how your child has settled into school this year. As always, we encourage parents and carers to contact their child’s teacher regularly to discuss their child’s progress and/or wellbeing.
Congratulations to our Brighton B Athletics Team who travelled to the Hobart Domain Athletics Centre yesterday and represented our school in Inter-primary Athletics. Mr Daft co-ordinated the team and spoke highly of their behaviour and participation on the day. Our team finished third in the competition but were definite winners in how they displayed our school values. Well done to all students for giving their best in their scheduled events. Our Brighton A Team will compete on Wednesday 3 April.
School was coloured green today as so many students took the option to wear green in support of the Tasmanian Jack Jumpers amazing effort so far in the NBL. I’m sure we are all watching with interest tonight as they play game four in the Championship Series. Go Jackies! Huge thanks to Miss Griffiths-Lee and our Year 6 Student Leaders who today ran basketball activities for our classes. This was a great way for our Year 6 students to further develop their leadership by providing engaging activities for others.
The Easter break has arrived quickly and there are now only two more weeks left of Term One. We hope that our families enjoy some time together over the Easter weekend and look forward to seeing students back with us again next Wednesday.
Kind regards

Easter Raffle
Thank you to all families who donated items for our Easter Raffle. Prizes were drawn earlier this week and winners have been notified.
Election Day BBQ
Unfortunately, we didn’t get enough volunteers to run a fundraising BBQ at school on Election Day. Thank you to staff and families who did reply and offered to give their time.
School Association Committee for 2024
Our School Association held their Annual General Meeting on Monday 18th March. Elections were not required for parent or staff representatives as we did not get more nominations than the number of vacant positions.
The next meeting of the School Association will take place on Monday 20th May at 4pm in our School Admin Block. All welcome.
Class Pizza Points
Over the last several weeks, the students of 3 Hedington have been working hard to earn 100 pizza points, by following our school values and class expectations. We have been awesome and reached our target, and this week, we enjoyed making our very own mini pizzas.
Thank you to Kristie and Louise for helping us to chop our toppings and for putting them into the oven for us, it was very much appreciated!
The pizzas were delicious, and we had lots of fun making them.
GOOD LUCK - JACK JUMPERS!!!!!!
